Post subject: Hello

Hi Guys,

Found you when searching for tips on upgrading my phpBB2 board, 924board.org, from mysql to mysqli. Found what I needed straight away.

It's great to know I'm not the only one using phpBB2.

Thanks,
Peter.

Hi Peter - still plenty of us using phpBB2.
Many of us had devoted years to getting our sites exactly as we wanted and had modifications added that would be lost in the migration to version 3.
My own site has been running since April 2004.

Thanks Jim.

Love your avatar photo.

Beat you by a couple of years; the first member post on my site was 31 July 2001.

Peter.

Photo taken quite a few years ago - I'm 73 today so look a bit older than on that photo.
A lot of members on my own site are Australian so I do get to hear what the Covid situation is over there.
Stay safe

Welcome aboard. I'm not managing communities much nowadays, but I'm always happy to give a technical helping hand if needs be.
