Post subject: All language packs for phpBB2

Hi,

does someone have the Index of

https://www.phpbb.com/files/language_packs_20x/

I need to download all available phpBB2 language packs. And I know, that all the required files are in there.

E.g. the file https://www.phpbb.com/files/language_packs_20x/lang_german.tar.gz exits.

But I hardly can guess all file names (Hindi etc.)

Best Regards

Reinhard

http://web.archive.org/web/20080606020739/http://www.phpbb.com/languages/?type=20x gives you a bunch of download links for several languages (just check the filenames when hovering the mouse over them). Hindi is not among them however, and for some are no files released.

That's really cool man!

To install them manually, since I also have to make a couple of changes due to the heavily customized phpBB2 I am using, what is the process please?

Where do I have to register them in the DB?

Regards

You don't. Just put the lang_ folder into /language. phpBB is smart enough to find it by itself. If you have also downloaded the subSilver language files, they go into /templates/yourTemplate/lang_*.

For MODs, you have to check if they provide you with language files. If you have to modify language files according to the installation instructions, then apply those too for the additional languages.
