Hi guys.
I have a quick question, if we don't have a good solution, that it is a sign that I have to start a new forum, because I don't wanna struggle with fixing a 9 year old one especially that it's hardly used.
Here we go.
I had to move forum from this host:
http://www.dober.superhost.pl/roa/forum/index.php
Here:
http://www.roa.org.pl/forum/index.php
It was a "clean migration", copied database as SQL file through MySQL, imported it on the same way to new host.
All files were copied, config.php adjusted to settings of the new database. SQL file part with config information was altered (cookies and so on), also all "hard links" were replaced.
Attributes of files are set to 644 as they were on old host.
Done this the same way some time ago and it was OK, now I have this problem.
I can't start a new topic, replay to an existing one, while sending a private message there's an error (PM is delivered).
- While posting/replying when you press "send" page just reloads real quickly, no error, no debug.
- When you try to send a PM:
Code: | Failed sending email :: PHP ::
DEBUG MODE
Line : 234
File : emailer.php |
Board was seriously moded, about 20+mods, so I can't replace files with clean ones.
IMO it is a problem with difference between MySQL and PHP versions.
Please just take a look at this forum:
http://www.roa.org.pl/forum/viewforum.php?f=40
Try to start "Nowy Temat" write something and try to press "Podglad" or "Wyslij", quick BLINK, and page reloads.
Hope you guys have a solution, if not, than I'm not fixing it, will leave it as an "old forum" and start something new
Thx and bye! |

Have you tried doing a clean install of unmodded phpBB2 to see if those functions work with your MSQL and PHP versions
Remember to create a new database for it.
Perhaps you can say what versions of MYSQL and PHP your host is using in case there are any know issues.

Tried few today, phpBB2, phpBB3, SMF... all work ok, no problems at all.

I would guess that if phpBB2 does work on the new server then the possibility is:-
One or more of your mods you have added does not work with the new versions of MYSQL and/or PHP
I am not a coder so before you do anything give it a day or so to see if anyone that is pops in here to see if there is anything happening.
It may be that they could offer some advice as to how to identify where the problem lies.
Just one thought is that some hosts do not allow PHP sendmail so try changing to POP in the Admin CP
