Just wanted to say thanks to the contributors to the many threads I was reading the past day regarding phpbb2 on newer versions of PHP (>5.3)

The threads and the MYSQLI db files were very helpful.

I'm not going to lie, pages here load faster and this software feels lightweight in comparison to phpBB3. I see why you guys use it. icon_biggrin.gif

We use a caching process here, plus the code was tweaked and tuned quite a bit over the years for performance. The template is all still table based rather than using CSS, but it's nice and lean.
